First Watch:  The neighborhood has arranged for First Watch security patrols to be available in our neighborhood.  First Watch started in 1971 offering security services to single and multifamily units.  It claims to be the largest residential patrol service in the southwest.  Although arranged by the neighborhood association, this service is billed individually to homeowners who sign up for service.  The service includes uniformed officers in highly visible marked patrol cars patrolling the neighborhood.  An officer will  visually check both the front and rear of the property of subscribers a number of times each day.  If notified that you are out of town, doors and windows will be physically checked daily and flyers, mail and newspapers will be collected and delivered upon your return.    First Watch will respond to calls reporting suspicious activity in the neighborhood even if the caller is not a subscriber.  They also will provide escorts in and out of your home if desired and can provide a closer watch of your house or check in with a baby sitter when you are out for the evening, if requested.

In addition, First Watch can provide custom design and installation as well as monitoring services for residential alarm systems.  They can monitor most equipment made by other manufacturers.  In the case of an alarm, an armed patrol officer can be immediately dispatched and they can coordinate with the police.  Depending upon the time of day, there may already be a patrol officer in the neighborhood.  The claim response times that are faster then Dallas police as well as the ability to avoid false alarm charges from the City.   If you would like pricing or additional information or would like an application, please contact crime@themeadowsna.org.  Alternatively, you can contact First Watch directly at 214-630-9300 for more information.
